Born in 1962 and raised in Limburg (Holland) Peter picks up playing the guitar at age 10 inspired by a friend of his. Some time after he forms a band called "Misty Future" and wins a talent show with one of his own written songs.

From the 1980's onwards he plays in different rockbands only to join "Heartbeat" in 1982 who were already reasonably known at that time and having had some radio airplay. Heartbeat toured with Vandale and in between Peter focussed on some sideprojects.

In 1986 Peter forms "Tightrope", a heavy metal band.that got a German record deal because their demo became Aardschok's Demo of the Month. From 1990 to 1995 Peter also plays in a band called "Marilyn Monroe". Somewhere in 1994 he meets up with Arni Treffers, also known as Long Tall Ernie (and the Shakers) and they form a band called "Radio Oranje". They get a record deal with Telstar and release 4 singles.
